Our research focuses on the mechanisms controlling
the differentiation of vertebrate neurons. We use
neurotrophins and their receptors as tools to dissect
mechanisms that are relevant both to development and
to neurodegeneration. We also use extensively mouse
embryonic stem cells as a new and particularly useful
cellular system to study neurotrophin signalling,
as well as the role of instructive factors during
neural development . |
