SNSF Eccellenza Assistant Professor
The Biozentrum of the University of Basel is looking to sponsor applicants for Eccellenza Professorial Fellowships from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Eccellenza Fellows will be appointed as non-tenure track Assistant Professors at the University of Basel. Candidates exploring fundamental questions in modern biology will be considered. Per Eccellenza requirements, candidates performed at least two years of research activity at a Swiss Research Centre, or have Swiss nationality or a Swiss higher education degree.
You have an outstanding research record and are looking to develop your independent group within the Biozentrum and the broader Basel Life Sciences Community. We will host your application for a SNSF Eccellenza Professorial Fellowship. Eccellenza covers your salary and provides project funds of up to 1,000,000 Swiss francs for a five-year period. We will complement this support by a generous research endowment, laboratory facilities, administrative support, and access to state-of-the-art core facilities. The Biozentrum consists of 32 research groups with 220 postdoctoral fellows and graduate students from more than 50 countries researching in fields ranging from structural, computational, cellular and developmental biology to microbiology and neuroscience.
