Graduate Teaching Program
PhD program in Molecular Biology
The Biozentrum offers a broad selection of Molecular Biology lectures at the Masters and PhD level. The graduate teaching program offers scientists an opportunity to expand and broaden their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of molecular Life Sciences at an advanced graduate and postgraduate level.
Master students (30 credit points) and PhD students (6-12 credit points) complement their practical training at the Biozentrum with lectures that help broaden their theoretical knowledge and horizon. Together with scientists from the Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI), the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of the ETH, the Department of Biomedicine (DBM), and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (STPH), the Biozentrum offers an interdisciplinary molecular biology teaching program in the areas of infection biology, neurobiology, cell biology, developmental biology, biophysical chemistry, structural biology, systems biology, and bioinformatics. The program includes lecture series, exercises and courses, is designed for the Masters and PhD level, and integrates into the international credit point system. The program also provides teaching in soft skills like scientific communication and career planning.
