Thermo Fisher Scientific Talos L120C
Configuration
The Thermo Fisher Scientific™ Talos L120C G2 is a 120 kV thermionic transmission electron microscope designed for performance and productivity across a wide range of applications.
Equipped with a cryo box and low dose software for cryo-electron microscopy of sensitive materials.
Fitted with a 4k x 4k Ceta CMOS camera.
C-Twin pole piece for high contrast and high tilt capability.
TIA and VELOX are used for imaging and SerialEM is also installed for automated acquisition and tomography applications.
Application
The FEI Talos L120C transmission electron microscope (TEM) is a versatile entry-level microscope ideally suited for screening of samples at cryo or room temperatures. It is well suited for characterization of biological and biomaterials samples in cell biology, structural biology, and nanotechnology research.
The system's constant-power, C-Twin lens delivers outstanding optical performance to help ensure an optimal balance of contrast and resolution. The Thermo Fisher Scientific Talos 120 includes a tiltable stage (Compustage) for stable imaging of side-entry holders at room temperature and also under cryo-conditions.
