Prof. Dr. Kaspar Vogt

2006 – 2014 | Professor of Pharmacology and Neurobiology

Kaspar Vogt studied medicine and graduated in 1996 at the University of Berne. After postdoctoral research at both the University of California in San Francisco and Harvard Medical School, he worked as a research associate and SNF-Professor at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Zurich. In 2006, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Neurobiology at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel, where he studied the mechanisms of function of nerve cells, the interneurons, in the brain. Since 2014, Kaspar Vogt teaches and carries out research as an associate professor at the International Institute for Integrative Sleep Medicine at the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
