Key facts

Admission
University Master's degree in biology, biomedicine, physics, chemistry, mathematics or computer science or equivalent (Diploma, DEA, etc.). In exceptional cases, students with a four-year BSc degree (USA, Canada, Singapore) are also eligible to apply. Further information can be found here

Start

  • Biozentrum International PhD Programm: at any time as agreed with the group leader
  • Biozentrum PhD Fellowships: within the six months following the acceptance of the fellowship

Course structure
You will engage in an independent research project under the supervision of a Biozentrum faculty member and a PhD Advisory Committee. As a PhD student you are part of the Biozentrum International PhD Program.

Duration: 4 years

Language: English

Lectures and Courses: 
Along with the practical training in the latest methods and techniques of molecular biology research, you will profit from the rich, interdisciplinary Graduate Teaching Program offered in collaboration with different partners.

Credit points:
18 CP from lectures, internal seminars, courses, meetings and teaching assignment
