Gifts, in all forms, are important for the Biozentrum of the University of Basel. They validate and support the institute’s work. There are two kinds of gifts:

Unrestricted gifts
Unrestricted gifts give the institute the ultimate flexibility to seize opportunities and address unforeseen challenges as they arise. They also improve the quality of campus life. To cite just a few examples:

• student financial support
• seeding new challenging research fields
• enhancing the infrastructure

Restricted gifts
There are also many opportunities for restricted gifts. For example, to fund one of the following:

• new professorships 
• PhD Fellowships Program
• awards/prizes

Donations to the Biozentrum are tax deductible. All donors automatically receive a donation receipt.
