2009 – 2020 | Professor of Structural Biology

Henning Stahlberg studied physics at the TU (Technische Universität) Berlin and graduated with a doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 1997. After his postdoctoral research at the Biozentrum he continued research and teaching the University of California. , From 2009 to 2020, Stahlberg was a Professor of Structural Biology at the Biozentrum, where he also headed the Center for Cellular Imaging and Nano Analytics (C-CINA). Since 2020, Stahlberg has been Professor of Physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and there heads the Laboratory of Biological Microscopy LBEM. Using light and electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography and electron tomography, he examines the structure of membrane proteins and proteins related to Parkinson’s disease. Website
