2006 - 2013 | Professor of Infection Biology
Cécile Arrieumerlou studied biology and graduated in 1999 as a Doctor in Cellular Immunology at the University of Paris-Sud in Orsay. For the following five years, she carried out research as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine. In 2006, Arrieumerlou was appointed to the Biozentrum and became Assistant Professor of Infection Biology. The main focus of her research was to investigate the immune response of host cells to a bacterial infection and, in particular, to study the molecular processes which take place during pathogen-host interactions. In 2013, Cécile Arrieumerlou left to take on the position of Professor of Immunology at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in Paris.
