Celebrating Women in Science

Science drives innovation, tackles global challenges, and shapes the future — but to reach its full potential, it needs diverse perspectives. Despite progress, a significant gender gap remains in STEM fields worldwide. Women in science have long fought for recognition and gender equality, yet certain challenges still persist, making it crucial to continue advocating for gender equality in science.

Initiatives like the International Day of Women and Girls in Science highlight the achievements of female researchers while shedding light on the challenges they continue to face. To celebrate this day, we feature three inspiring female scientists at the Biozentrum - from PhD student to professor - who share their experiences and perspectives on advancing gender equality in science.
