2020 was a roller-coaster year, with a lot of unexpected and challenging situations. But even though research and teaching activities were affected by the drastic measures to contain the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the Biozentrum can again look back on a remarkable and exciting research year. We made new scientific discoveries, received prestigious awards and grants, welcomed new colleagues and we found creative ways to connect and support each other in these turbulent times.

An extraordinary and challenging year lies behind us. But despite the coronavirus pandemic, we could experience many wonderful and remarkable stories and do great science. The current issue of “Biozentrum Highlights” shows at a glance what was happening in 2020.
